Step Out Of The Cold And Into Formery: A Virtual Tour

Auckland’s Most Enjoyable Winter Workday

Winter has arrived, and with it comes darker mornings, bigger coffee orders and a renewed appreciation for staying warm.

At Formery, 87 Albert Street, winter wellness is built into the workday. Join us on a virtual tour as we explore the spaces, experiences and little rituals helping members stay energised, connected and inspired this season.

Come On Inside!

Au Revoir Winter, Bonjour Formery

Welcomed by our Concierge team, you leave the cold behind and step into a warm, inviting space designed to make the workday feel a little more enjoyable.

First Impressions Count

Research suggests people form a first impression in as little as one-tenth of a second.

Fortunately, Formery has a pretty good opening act.

Stop 1: A Warm Welcome

Every good tour starts with coffee.

After being welcomed by the Concierge team, many members make a beeline for the Club Lounge, where the coffee machine is already hard at work and the first conversations of the day are underway.

Did You Know?

Caffeine can enhance certain types of memory for up to 24 hours after consumption. Turns out your morning coffee may be doing more than helping you survive the first meeting of the day.

Stop 2: Raise The Temperature

Next, we visit the Wellness Centre.

It’s home to a fully equipped gym, premium end-of-trip facilities, towel service and an infrared sauna that’s become one of the most popular stops on the tour.

Auckland winter: 0. Sauna: 1.

A Little Winter Wisdom

Research found that just 10 minutes of physical activity can improve attention and executive function – the mental skills responsible for planning, decision-making and staying focused.

Stop 3: The Midday Reset

If the Wellness Centre is where you recharge, this is where you reset.

Designed for meditation, prayer, parenting needs or simply a few moments away from the day, it’s one of the calmest spaces in the building. It’s also where members can enjoy Massage Mondays, one of the many wellness experiences available year-round.

As It Turns Out

Employees who practise mindfulness report up to 28% lower stress levels and improved focus throughout the workday.

Stop 4: A Short Excursion

We’ve now reached the point in the tour where we briefly leave Formery.

Fortunately, members don’t leave empty-handed. Exclusive perks with Les Mills Britomart, Auckland Therapeutic Massage and Hotel Indigo Auckland mean the wellness experience continues well beyond office hours.

From Bluebells Cakery treats to Event Cinemas tickets, members enjoy access to a growing collection of perks designed to make life outside work just as rewarding.

Stop 5: Happy Hour

As the workday winds down, a different side of Formery comes to life.

Home to a fully licensed bar, the Club Lounge hosts Happy Hour from 3–6 pm, making it the perfect place to swap the laptop for your favourite beverage and catch up with colleagues, clients or fellow members.

Keep an eye out for regular cocktail specials, too.

Research is still ongoing, but we’re fairly certain that they improve morale.

Stop 6: The Community

What we can’t properly show you on a virtual tour is the connection and community that brings the building to life.

From coffee catch-ups and member breakfasts to Lunch & Learns, Pilates and Sip & Paints, it’s often the people you meet that make the biggest impact.

Speaking Of Good Company

A study of more than 600 inventors found that breakthrough ideas were significantly more likely to come from people who regularly exchanged ideas with those outside their field. Turns out community might be the ultimate wellness amenity.

End Of Tour – See You At Happy Hour?
