An event was recently held at Formery to celebrate the release of Sharedspace’s second annual coworking and flexible workspace report. This event enabled industry leaders to gather and offer key insights into New Zealand’s current coworking and flexible workspace landscape.
The report demonstrates the increasing demand for flexible workspaces and coworking solutions in larger businesses and enterprises across New Zealand and describes how they are integrating this strategically into their real estate plans.
Kicking off the event in The Loft, guest speakers Matt Stark, Ksenia Eliseeva, Pierre Ferrandon, and Suia Westbrook showcased their expertise in a theatre-style panel, followed by a relaxing evening with canapes and refreshments in the Formery club lounge.
Some interesting findings from the report:
- Expansion: 40% of coworking providers plan to expand their businesses in the next two years.
- Pricing: In the last 12 months, 50% of operators have increased their prices by an average of 5.2%.
- Space: There are 188,000 sqm of flexible workspace in New Zealand.
