This Is What They Came Back With
We asked Alberts Members to describe Alberts in three words, and, because our members are excellent but not always brief, they gave us a mix of neat little soundbites, generous compliments and a few answers that politely ignored the word limit altogether.
The words that came back said a lot: “five-star business hub,” “bold urban energy,” “friendly, welcoming, my work home,” “always great service,” “polished, comfortable,” “creative, innovative, inviting,” and the review we would quite happily put on a billboard, “Club Lounge rocks.”
What we loved most was that the answers did not sound like they had been pulled from a leasing brochure. They sounded like people describing the small, daily things that make a workplace feel good to be in: the welcome when you arrive, the coffee before a meeting, the lounge that actually gets used, the sense of energy in the building and the feeling that the day has been made a little easier before you have even opened your laptop.
So, instead of trying to explain Alberts in our own three words, we would love to invite you in to see Formery for yourself.

An Invitation, Not A Clipboard Tour
We are hosting a Formery Wellness Morning for teams who are curious about what a working day at Alberts can feel like when it comes with more than a desk, a door and a very long list of building access instructions.
The morning is designed to feel relaxed, useful and very much not like the kind of tour where someone points at a floorplan while everyone nods politely and pretends to understand where the service riser is.
You will start with coffee, take a hosted walkthrough of the Formery Wellness Centre, explore the member spaces, get a feel for the hospitality and service that shape the building day to day, and see how the Alberts ecosystem brings workspace, wellbeing, community and thoughtful design together.
It is a chance to see the building while it is doing what it does best: coffee being poured, the Club Lounge humming, people moving between work and meetings, and all the little details quietly proving why members reach for words like welcoming, polished, comfortable and five-star.

The Workday Has Better Supporting Characters Here
At Formery, the main character is still your team and the work they are here to do, but the supporting cast is strong.
There is the Club Lounge, which gives the day somewhere warm and social to land. There is barista coffee, because a workplace experience should not rely on instant anything. There is concierge support, which adds a level of ease that people notice quickly and miss terribly once they have had it. There are meeting rooms for hosting properly, member spaces for informal conversations, premium end-of-trip facilities and a Wellness Centre with a fully equipped gym and infrared sauna for the moments when the calendar needs to be counterbalanced with something that feels good for the body and brain.
None of this is about adding shiny extras for the sake of it. It is about creating a place where the day has more range. A morning meeting can become a coffee conversation, a busy afternoon can have a reset built into it, and coming into work can feel less like a requirement and more like something with genuine pull.
That is why “my work home” feels like such a good member description. It is personal without being over the top, warm without being fluffy, and exactly the kind of thing people say when a building has managed to be polished and comfortable at the same time.

Old Buildings, New Energy, Much Better Stories
Alberts focuses on redeveloping and upcycling existing buildings rather than defaulting to new builds, which gives the spaces character, depth and a stronger sustainability story. That matters because the built environment contributes around 20% of New Zealand’s greenhouse emissions, and Alberts’ sustainability approach is built around giving good buildings a smarter second life.
That is where “bold urban energy” starts to make sense. Formery feels current and polished, but not anonymous. It has that city texture you cannot fake, paired with the design, hospitality and service that make it feel ready for the way teams work in 2026 and beyond.
Alberts also notes that more than 60% of embodied carbon emissions in a building are associated with the structure, frame, upper floors and roof, which is why retaining and upgrading those elements can support a more sustainable approach to workplace design.
In other words, the sustainability story is not sitting off to the side in an ESG paragraph nobody reads. It is part of the atmosphere. It is in the bones, the materials, the way the building has been reworked and the reason the spaces feel like they already belong to the city.

For Teams Who Want A Base With A Bit Of Pulse
Formery is especially well suited to growing teams who want a dedicated city base with more around it than a door and a desk.
It works well for creative agencies, consultants, recruitment firms, tech teams, finance and advisory businesses, boutique professional services and satellite teams that want a workplace with energy, service and a strong sense of arrival. The common thread is not industry so much as attitude: these are teams that care about how the workplace feels, how clients experience it and whether their people actually want to spend time there.
That is where the member words become useful proof. “Polished, comfortable” tells you the space looks the part without feeling cold. “Always great service” tells you the team behind the building matters. “Creative, innovative, inviting” tells you the atmosphere is doing more than filling square metres. And “Club Lounge rocks” tells you someone was having a genuinely good day when they filled out the survey, which is exactly the sort of energy we like to see.

What Makes Formery Different From A Standard Private Office?
Formery brings together the focus of a private office with the wider Alberts ecosystem around it. That means teams are not just choosing a room to work from; they are choosing a workplace with hospitality, member spaces, meeting rooms, concierge support, wellness facilities, thoughtful amenities and a warm business environment built into the day.
For a growing team, that can make a real difference. It gives people a reason to come in, gives clients a stronger first impression, and gives leaders a workplace that supports culture without needing to build every perk, process and experience from scratch.
It is premium without feeling cold, polished without feeling stiff, and professional without losing the human side that made members describe Alberts as “friendly,” “relaxed,” “chic,” “helpful”, and “my work home.”
